What is cystic fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.

Is CF Genetic?

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease. People with CF have inherited two copies of the defective CF gene — one copy from each parent.

Are all people effected the same?

The types and severity of symptoms can differ widely from person to person.

Is there a treatment ?

Yes, all  treatment plans differ from person to person. There is no cure but new treatments are emerging and we are hopeful a cure will be found.
